**The second week of Dirtburner's Indoor Nitro Series 2004 and I ran 2 classes again this weekend, Not too bad getting used to it, The TMaxx X1R was what I ran in the monster truck class this week. The R&B motor still needs some fine tuning and getting used to. I have almost all the bugs worked out for the main and then blew the rear diff about 5 minutes in to the B-Main, Not good for the Points Race..... The 9.5 MBX had a good day at the start and my skills went downhill slightly but very little as the day progressed, I did manage to get a 9th place starting position in the A-Main (Yeah I was shocked too) Ran a real good 15 minute main and finished an astonishing 5th. That's going to get me some ground in the Points Race.. |
| October 24th, 2004 | **Ran 2
classes for the first week of Dirtburner's Indoor Nitro Series 2004, The
TMaxx X1R is still
being tweaked but for it's first race it did very well, My driving however
will need to adjust to my newest Monster Truck. The first heat blew a CVD
out of the drive cup in the rear ending the heat, second heat broke the rear
skid plate off but finished the day with it like that. Third heat ran great
and I did well enough to pull an 8th place A-main starting spot. The A-Main
wasn't started on time and the big R&B motor loaded up and flamed out on the
line. I started 2 laps down when the excellent pit crew threw me in and
managed a 5th place finish in the A-Main. Better results this Sunday... The 9.5 MBX had a good day at the start and my skills went downhill as the day progressed with the 9.5. was qualified in 7th in the A-main until the third heat I dropped down big time started the B-main in 4th and finished the same way. Buggy ran great, my skills ran out. |
| October 17th, 2004 | **Just ran the 9.5 MBX today for a nice relaxing race day. just getting the setup and tires right took the first 2 qualifiers. the third qualifier I was dialed in and had a great run. I TQ'd for the B-Main with that run. Ran the B-main battling a couple other drivers the entire race finally getting a 2nd place just 1.48 seconds off the win, missing the bump up to the A-Main. better luck next week. |
| September 26th, 2004 | *Great day, The 9.5 MBX TQ'd and won a small cash race with 13 laps in 6 minutes and 13 seconds. Won money to get lunch at Hooters |
| September 5th, 2004 | *Possibly one
of the worst non easy days of all time only would rank it 4th or 5th worse
though.
The 9.5 MBX Lost a steering servo 9 minutes into the 15 minute A-Main giving me the first dead last place for the 9.5 ever and one of the first mechanical failures this year. Some days are better than other. Still having tuning and break in trouble with this huge over powered R&B Engine on the TMaxx D1 only got 2 laps out of it in the main race but ran pretty good throughout the first 3 qualifiers. When this Engine is broke in and works consistently it will probably be overkill |
| August 15th, 2004 | *Yet another
mediocre day, it's a real good thing I enjoy racing win or lose. Flame outs
and oh no I have to be competitive: really, days. Once again the 9.5 MBX ran real well for a 3rd place in the Main. need to fire the driver.... |
| August 8th, 2004 | *Not so great
day at the track, very warm, trying to break in the new R&B TM728 engine and
the TMaxx D1 along
with getting the buggy skills and will to compete in check The 9.5 MBX ran real well for a 2nd place in the B-Main and lost by over a lap missing the bump up second week in a row. The New TMaxx D1 setup is real good the R&B engine still needs tuning and break in time still too hard to use the pull start, it failed after the second qualifier giving me a DNS and dead last again in Monster truck. not a great summer for my monster trucks |
| July 18th, 2004 | *Great day, The TMaxx 2.5M finished first in the Main after putting it to a Monster GT real good. it was a tough race and I think the other driver choked because it was close until the last couple last laps. |
| July 11th, 2004 | *The 9.5 MBX ran real well for a 1st place in the B-Main |
| June 27th, 2004 | * Another hot very hot oppressive day and my lack of being able to close the deal showed up again The 9.5 MBX ran real well for a 2nd place, it was a first place buggy today my skills dragged it to 2nd place and then thanked the 9.5 for being such a great buggy and not letting me blow it even worse. I hate the hot summer days |
| June 20th, 2004 | * can not
remember what happened been to long The 9.5 MBX 2nd place 13 Laps/6:41.51 DNF The Dominator broke a front diff in the first qualifier putting it on the bench for this week |
| June 6th, 2004 | *Easy Club
Race, nothing serious just a few friends at the track, The 9.5 MBX TQ'd then getting a second place with 14 laps in a 7 minute Main Race, Had a good race the R&B motor ran flawlessly like it always does, I just need to practice more. The Dominator broke a very pricey driveshaft in the main race after an electronics glitch made the truck go out of control for less than 4 seconds, finished 3rd in the main race with the drama and without even finishing the race still beat one other person, tough hot day to be outdoor racing |
| May 16th, 2004 | *Big Cash
race, Ran 4 Classes today and had less than stellar results because of the
heat and tremendous pressure of racing that many classes at once. Start at the bottom, just couldn't get the RC10T4 to handle good or get the feeling for the little electric 10th scale truck on the rough big track giving me dead last place Next failure was the Dominator did not want to start or stay running at all for the main race of which it TQ'd bad tune job by me for the weather conditions, Failed to start giving me dead last place AGAIN Next was a close but no dice kinda thing, the 9.5 MBX TQ'd and led the most part of the A-Main race until flaming out on the final lap while leading, the good news was I had a lap on all competitors except second place, he got first I did a 2nd place while dead on the back straight. Now the Good news all day was the TMaxx 2.5M and as well as a small block can do it had a great day winning all qualifying heats for the TQ in Monster Truck small block class and handily taking the win in the 5 minute main with an entire lap on second place...... |

* Well back to Nitro Racing Outdoors, The
new track at "BWRC" treated me
good, the TMaxx was fast in the first 2 heats, but the AE Monster GT's were
faster, after a win in the first heat and a second in the second heat I
decided to break out the Dominator for the third heat and ran an easy 10
laps and TQ in Monster Truck. The Main race was an easy win with the
dominator although it could use some setup work I won by just over a lap
with 10 laps in just over 5 minutes.
The 9.5 MBX had near similar results. It TQ'd by taking all the Qualifiers but the bug in the main caused me a second place DNF. It stalled with 2 minutes remaining and I was 2 laps up on everyone. Good thing everyone else but Jason who won broke just after me. A great Day for the season opener. |
| April 11th, 2004 | ** The AE RC10T4 had indoor duty today again. In fact almost a carbon copy of last week. This truck worked flawlessly all day. My driving is improving. I managed to qualify 8th in the A-main and wound up getting hacked pretty bad and the blowing an easy 2nd place for a rotten fifth place finish. Had fun, done early enough to get home and watch the Red Wings. Too bad but it looks like the indoor season is over for me and the T4. |
| April 4th, 2004 | ** The AE RC10T4 had indoor duty today. This truck worked flawlessly all day. My driving however was shaky at best. I managed to qualify 9th in the A-main and wound up getting hacked pretty bad and the blowing an easy 3rd place for a rotten fifth place finish. the track is very technical still and getting to be more fun every run. Had fun, done early enough to get home and get things done. |
| March 27th, 2004 | ** Another whole Saturday at Dirt Burner Racing. Things went from bad to okay to real bad over the course of the day. An absolutely horrible first qualifier left me in a really bad way after the first resort and made the second round qualifier impossible to do really well but the truck was dialed in by the third and a decent show there still couldn't over come the bad first qualifier. The best I did all day was 13 laps at 5:17. the E-Main was where I landed in 6th place with 12 laps at 5.00.20. A really bad day in all. the handout motor and truck are in great shape. the quality of my driving is hampered by my inability to maneuver around other slower really bad drivers without losing it. The AE RC10T4 is still one of the best trucks I have ever owned |
| March 20th, 2004 | ** This is getting to be some easy fun racing with this T4 after Qualify 10th in the A-main with a 2nd qualifier run at 16 laps @ 5:17.02, I was very smooth and that made me 2 laps faster than I have ever run there. I managed a 7th place in The A-Main witch to me was fabulous. But I did have a bad run in the main I should have done better that 7th place. Again, I'll Take it. |
| March 6th, 2004 | ** Third try at this electric off road truck class in my most excellent AE RC10T4. I managed to TQ for the B-main and take the win after the first place leader thru most of the race broke. I had run a best of 14 laps @ 5:05:23 to TQ for the B-main and ran a 14 laps @ 5:12.52. I'll Take it. with the new Reedy charger and getting the tuning right I really am handling this truck well |
| February 29th, 2004 |
** Second time out of the box. The AE RC10T4 was great today. No shock trouble, a few glitches with the new Phantom team motor but qualified 9th in the B-Main. A great starting line strategy allowed me to get to 3rd place on the first lap and maintain it for several laps and eventually get second place. Where I would hold off to get a second place finish in the B-main not bad (12 out of 30 overall) A truly good second try at 10th scale electric truck racing. My times still need to improve. 13 laps @ 5:13.38 |
| February 21st, 2004 |
** As a Rookie entry in the 1/10th scale stock truck class with my brand spanking new AE RC10T4 I didn't do real bad. With a total of 3-13 lap qualifiers the best being a 13 @5:12.12 I qualified 1st in the C-Main (2 seconds short of the B-Main). spent the first 2 qualifiers getting used to the truck and working on setup. By the main I was close to what is needed to win but with a smoking time of 13 laps @5:05.31 I finished second by less than 2 seconds, Only marshaled twice and made a great last lap at the leader pressing him harder than I had the entire race. Two weeks from today I will post more results with the RC10T4 |

C.R.C.R.C. 9th Annual Indoor Gas
Championship in Columbus Ohio, What a crazy day of practice on Jan. 23rd,
the first half of the day was awful, the practice was unstructured and I
broke almost everything possible on the 9.5 MBX, including 3 chassis skirts,
2 wings, seriously bent rear shock tower, and a seriously damaged pipe.
Everything repaired for qualifying on the Jan 24th, the first heat was an
okay run the engine was running a touch warm but I made it, oh except on the
last/9th lap coming into the final straight someone in the pit turned
on a radio and ruined my last lap, heat 2, I ran a stunning 11 lap 5:14 for
a decent run still a little lean and making adjustments as tuning time is
limited. heat 3 I ran 10 laps at 5:04, leaving my best qualifier at a measly
11 laps. That qualified me to start 8th in the I-Main that's 78 out of 103
entrants. January 25th, the I main came around 11 a.m. Where I had some trouble on the third lap and landed on another buggy and stalled it by hitting the flywheel. That made me finish 9th in the I-Main that's 79th overall, I know it's not nothing to brag about but it was my first national event. I personally thought I wasn't doing that well. |
