| 3/29/2003 | Raced it on Saturday in the Michigan Indoor State Championship Race, By the main the truck had been dialed in nicely without a bunch of work. The handout motor needed most of the work. Although my driving skillz leave something to be desired I had fun and the truck is one of if not the easiest most reliable truck I have even had. This is an awesome race truck and has never in 6 racing events broken anything. The Futaba/Hi-Tec Module radio and Novak adjustable receiver work flawless, the personal transponder makes racing easy. LRP Speed Control is awesome and never even some much as ticks. I have found the re-badge monster/ Phantom motor works great with trinity brushes and red springs. 19 tooth pinion is the ticket. What more can I say.... Oh.... OH YEAH BABEEE.... |
| 2/29/2004 | Raced it for the second time yesterday. With the new shocks and setup, the correct setup tools to check and correct any trouble between races, The new Phantom team motor has more top end and seems to be an excellent motor except the brush hung up twice even once right after I aligned the hood. Ran the main with it and it worked great. |
| 2/21/2004 | Raced it for the first time today, or is that drove it for the first time today. Thanks to Kevin for loaning me a 2400 pack to run in the motor. Although I did it on the track I took it easy on the newest motor. With 3300 packs the combination needs some work, but getting close. By the main race it was competitive. Very pleased with the ease and amount of great drivability with this truck. Tons of fun for a mild price is a good thing. More racing to come in a few weeks.. |
| 2/15/2004 | All finished and does it look good. Everything went together real well. I wasn't happy with the plastic wheel nuts or shock retaining nuts. Did I mention it looks great? Hopefully get the time and place to run in the motor and maybe get a race or two in before the nitro season breaks out. |
